Description

Meet the Fatty , ‘MacFatty’…

..and here’s how it came about.

It’s clear there are not many good Fatty recipes out there. We’ve tried many – what a disappointment. Obviously only produced for the photos, the likes and the shares with little thought going into the actual flavour of the product itself.

Well.. let me tell you this. The all NEW MacFatty has just changed the world we live in, OMFG! this is off the scale tasty. “Can you tell I’ve literally inhaled half a Kg and i need more”. The Sausage Meat within this product has been specifically produced to balance the rich oozing Macaroni Cheese centre that’s set off by the weave of hand made Dry Cured & Cider Apple Mash Smoked Streaky Bacon that encases the Fatty. To finish this to the max, glaze with a good glug of sweet, sticky barbecue sauce, such as Angus & Oink Red House  (our Top Recommendation).

Ideally cook offset with a tickle of smoke and watch the colour intensify by the minute. The Fatty really benefits from further basting that brings on the sticky caramelised Bacon finish that’s smokey and delicious. Seriously though, this is a real winner and one that we’re very proud to say that it slaps the face of anything else we’ve tried. Rest a while at the end and get stuck in.. amazing!

Cooking Tips

Ingredients:

MacFatty (please specify the size and weight)
Seasoning of your choice (salt, pepper, herbs, spices, etc.)

Instructions:

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your domestic oven to approximately 180°C (about 350°F).
  • Prepare the MacFatty: Place the MacFatty on a roasting rack or in a roasting pan. You can choose to season it with salt, pepper, herbs, or spices of your choice for added flavor.
  • Roasting: Place the MacFatty in the preheated oven and roast it for about an hour. Cooking times may vary depending on the size and weight of the MacFatty, so it’s essential to monitor the internal temperature.
  • Check the Internal Temperature: To ensure that the MacFatty is properly cooked, it’s recommended to use a meat thermometer. Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the MacFatty. The internal temperature should reach 75°C (about 165°F) to ensure that it’s fully cooked and safe to eat.
  • Resting: Once the MacFatty reaches the desired internal temperature, remove it from the oven. Let it rest for a few minutes before carving.
  • Carving: Carve the MacFatty into portions and serve with your choice of side dishes.
  • Enjoy your MacFatty roast! Remember that the key to a perfectly cooked roast is to monitor the internal temperature to avoid overcooking or undercooking.
Personal Tips: Baste the roast with barbecue sauce about 15 minutes from the end of the cook. This will help create a lovely flavour that goes great with the crispy bacon below.

These are amazing, Mac and cheese that tastes good by itself being put inside this meat spectacular. Normally with this kind of thing it’s crap Mac that’s put inside just so it looks right.
    Well this one tastes right!
